Bananas Foster Oatmeal
📖 Recipe
Bananas Foster Oatmeal
Tips for success: I like my oatmeal runnier than most. If you make this recipe and the oatmeal is to runny. Next time you make it reduce the water to ½ cup. If you cannot find truvia try to find swerve. Swerve cost more than truvia but you are investing in your health.
Equipment
- Small pot
- Wooden spoon
- Dry measuring spoons
- Liquid measuring cups
- Medium bowl
Ingredients
- ½ cup old fashion oats
- ¾ cup water
- ½ cup unsweetened cashew milk or milk of choice
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 medium banana sliced
- 1 tablespoon truvia brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Turn on the heat to medium in a small pot add the oatmeal, water, cashew milk and kosher salt to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- While the oatmeal cooks, in a medium bowl, mix the bananas, truvia and cinnamon together. Once the oatmeal finishes cooking, fold in half of the banana mix and garnish with the remaining bananas. Enjoy hot.
Notes
You can use instant oats to cut the time in half.
