For the last 5 months I’ve been cooking all vegan dishes for one of my clients.

That’s three meals a day, breakfast, lunch and dinner 6 or 7 days a week. I’ve been getting the hang of meat substitutes and getting really creative with the flavor profile of dishes. Now, a favorite meat substitute f in the world of vegans is jackfruit. Jackfruit is a large fruit found in Africa, Brazil and Southeast Asia. The flesh reminds me of ackee a local favorite fruit used in Jamaica so it has that meaty texture and consistency that you can pair with anything you like. I’ve seen several recipes about bbq jackfruit pulled pork sliders recipes so I decided to make my own.

P.S. I really dislike vegan options being named, chicken cauliflower hot wings are bbq jackfruit pulled pork. Just call it what it is.
