Cilantro Habanero Sauce

This sauce is easy, fast and great with tacos,seafood, vegetables or grilled meats. This sauce takes 5 minutes to make and will last in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Tips for Success:

Cacique Mexican Crema is the brand of choice. Make sure you buy the sour cream and not the table cream. They’re two different flavor profiles. If haberno is to spicy for you, jalapeno is a great substitute. The lime juice reduces the spicy level.

Cilantro Haberno Crema

  • 16 oz. Mexican sour cream
  • 1 bunch cilantro chopped
  • ½ cup water
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 1 habanero
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper


  • Place all ingredients in a food processor and blitz on high for 1 minute. Sauce will last for 7 days in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Sauce is great with tacos,seafood, vegetables and grilled meats.
