This is not a Texas roadhouse copycat recipe.
I know most people's first introduction to delicious spread is because of a night out, and you ordered some dinner rolls. Texas Roadhouse cinnamon butter was set before you, and your whole life changed.
I have a friend who was a district manager over a few Texas roadhouses in the Gulf region, so I have a few small insights. They make them with butter, cinnamon, honey, and powdered sugar.
I'm proud that your taste buds started dancing that night. However, I created my recipe to spread on my sweet potato cornbread and baked sweet potatoes, and it turns out it's so good you can spread it on anything that needs a taste of sweetness and butter on top.
Of course, add a little powdered sugar to your butter, and you're hooked!
I have enough sweetness on some of the things I like to smear this yummy butter over, so I don't want to add any additional sugar.
I like to keep mine simple, so it's ready in just a few seconds. I make it in a food processor because it blends evenly, and 15 seconds later, I'm spreading this awesome butter on homemade rolls, English muffins, biscuits, toast, cake, banana bread, or as the base for my peanut butter and jelly sandwich (thank me later).
Of course, you can use a hand mixer to make whipped cinnamon honey butter if you do not have a food processor, and it'll be ready in just a few minutes, but if you have a food processor, it'll be ready much faster.
This recipe is so good. My one-year-old son ate the whole jar because he loves it with breakfast! So let's jump into making this simple and finger-licking recipe.
Key Ingredients
Here are the ingredients for this incredible cinnamon butter recipe.
Unsalted Butter
I only buy unsalted butter because I use it so much, but of course, you can use salted or unsalted butter for yours. If you want some amazing butter, use a European-style butter like Kerry Gold or Lewis Roads. The extra butterfat separates it from normal butter.
Ground Cinnamon
My go-to cinnamon is Saigon cinnamon. It's warm and robust. However, if you can find it ( I normally see it in Whole Foods and Amazon), Ceylon cinnamon is real cinnamon. It's milder, floral and subtle.
Honey
I highly recommend buying your honey from a farmers market. Local honey has a better flavor and can help with allergies.
Salt
I only use kosher salt; the large flakes allow me to use less salt than traditional table salt.
How to Make Honey Cinnamon Butter
Making cinnamon honey butter should be easy and straightforward. The only thing you must remember is to take the butter out so it's room temperature, allowing you to infuse the butter with cinnamon and honey.
Add softened butter, honey, cinnamon, and salt to a food processor and blitz on high for 30 seconds until the butter is smooth and the cinnamon is evenly blended. You can also mix with a hand mixer for 1 minute.
Store cinnamon butter in a jar or use it immediately.
How To Store Cinnamon Honey Butter
Cinnamon honey butter will remain fresh in an airtight container in the fridge for 30 days.
To store butter in the freezer, wrap it in wax paper or plastic wrap, roll it into a cylinder, and place it in a freezer storage bag. It will be good for six months.

FAQs
Here are the top questions readers have about making homemade cinnamon honey butter.
How long does honey butter last?
Homemade honey butter can last for quite a while when stored properly. If kept in an airtight container in the refrigerator, it typically stays fresh for about 2-3 weeks. The honey acts as a natural preservative, helping to extend its shelf life. For best results, take out only what you need to avoid repeated exposure to air and bacteria. Always use clean utensils to scoop out the butter, and if it develops an off smell, flavor, or appearance, it's time to make a fresh batch.
Can I freeze honey butter?
Yes, you can freeze cinnamon honey butter! Freezing is a great way to make it last even longer—up to 6 months or more. Place it into an airtight, freezer-safe container or wrap it tightly in plastic before freezing. You can also portion it into small pats or scoops for convenient use later. When ready to enjoy it, allow it to thaw in the refrigerator until it softens to your desired consistency. The flavor and texture remain just as delicious after freezing!
What is the butter at Texas Roadhouse made of?
Texas Roadhouse butter is their signature honey cinnamon butter! It's made from a simple yet irresistible combination of softened butter, honey, powdered sugar, and cinnamon. This mouthwatering spread is whipped to perfection for a smooth and creamy texture. It pairs wonderfully with their warm, fluffy rolls, but you can easily recreate it at home to enjoy on toast, biscuits, pancakes, or anything that could use a sweet, buttery kick.
