Grandma’s Mac n Cheese

  • 8 qt. pot, 5 qt. pot, wooden spoon, rubber spatula, dry measuring cups, dry measuring spoons, 9 x 13 casserole pan or foil pan.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. elbow macaroni or spaghetti cooked
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne
  • 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 1 quart half and half
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 4 cups sharp cheddar
  • 2 cups mozzarella
