Freezer: After pecans cool off, place in an airtight container in the freezer for 3 months max. Thaw 12 hours before using.

Fridge: After pecans cool off, place in an airtight container in the fridge for 7 days max.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup pecans chopped
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne
  • 2 teaspoons water

Instructions
 

  • In a cast iron skillet over medium heat, toast pecans by stirring for 3-4 minutes until you can smell them. Add butter, kosher salt, black pepper and cayenne, cook for 30 seconds, add water and cut off heat. Transfer pecans to a bowl to cool.
