Tips for success: Sauce should be kept in an airtight container in the fridge. Sauce is good for 2 weeks. You can make this recipe without the orange juice, just use water in its place.

Equipment

  • Medium sauce pot
  • Dry measuring spoon
  • Liquid measuring cup

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup white vinegar
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions
 

  • Turn on the heat to medium in a medium pot add the sugar, white vinegar, orange juice, ketchup and kosher salt, stir to combine, cook for 5 minutes. Once the mixture begins to simmer, mix cornstarch and water, add to pot and bring sauce to a boil, cook for 5 minutes. Transfer sauce to a bowl, cool and enjoy.
