My thyme roasted sweet potatoes are delicious and easy to prepare it takes only 30 minutes.
Thyme Roasted Sweet Potatoes Cooking Tips:
The thicker you slice the sweet potatoes the longer they’ll take to cook. This same recipe works if you want to candy sweet potatoes just add ¼ cup light brown sugar and water to cover potatoes cook until sweet potatoes are soft.
Can you make ahead?
Fridge: After sweet potatoes cool off, place in an airtight container in the fridge for 7 days max.
Reheating: Pop in a 350-degree oven for 10 minutes.
You can use Chinese five spice or all spice in place of the cinnamon and nutmeg.

Thyme Roasted Sweet Potatoes
- 3 lbs. sweet potatoes peeled and sliced ½ inch thick
- 2 tablespoons oil
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne
- ¼ teaspoon dry thyme
- In a bowl toss all ingredients together, lay on a foiled lined baking sheet lay out sweet potatoes and cover with foil; bake for 20 minutes, flip potatoes over, cover and cook for 10 minutes. Fork should easily pierce sweet potatoes, remove from oven serve hot.
