Tzatziki Sauce

This classic Greek Sauce does not get the respect it deserves. Especially for people who live a healthy lifestyle. It's full flavored, creamy and great for your waistline.
Total Time 35 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cucumber peeled, grated
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt 2%
  • 1 garlic clove chopped
  • ½ tablespoon dill chopped
  • ½ tablespoon mint chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  • Mix cucumber and salt and let drain in a colander for 30 minutes, rinse under cold water, drain and pat dry. In a bowl mix yogurt, garlic, dill, mint, cayenne, vinegar, olive oil and cucumber together. Keep sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 5 days.
