Quick Teriyaki Fried Rice

Tips for success: If you have soy sauce at home you can use it as a great substitute for the teriyaki. Any hot sauce will work as a great substitute for Sriracha. If you have a soy allergy, coconut amino or liquid aminos are a great substitute. The secret to a great fried rice is a hot cast iron skillet. Home kitchens do not put out the same heat like they use in Chinese restaurants and the wok lends a slight iron flavor to your rice. This is why I use my cast iron skillet to make this dish and it does the job. You can add chicken, shrimp or 1 cup frozen stir fried vegetables. Just add when you’re cooking the onions.
