    What is Honey Sriracha sauce?

Honey sriracha sauce is a sweet and spicy sauce that's great for a variety of things. The sriracha sauce is a chili sauce/ hot sauce made of garlic, sugar, chili peppers, distilled vinegar, and salt.

Combining it with honey tames the heat of the chili sauce. It creates a lovely dipping sauce or seasoning for fried rice, chicken nuggets, noodles, fried chicken wings, and sushi.

    Honey Sriracha Sauce Ingredients

Here are the three ingredients you'll need for quick and easy honey sriracha sauce. Since Sriracha has garlic, vinegar, salt, and sugar, I found adding more to the sauce unnecessary.

    Sriracha Sauce

Huy Fong produces Sriracha, but any chili garlic sauce will work.

    Raw Local Honey

The best honey to use is local raw honey.

    Unsalted Butter

All you need is one stick of unsalted butter.

How to make Honey Sriracha Sauce

You can make this honey sriracha sauce recipe with your eyes close because it's that fast and easy. Feel free to adjust the amount of Sriracha added to control the heat levels.

Add the Sriracha and honey in a medium bowl, and slowly drizzle in hot melted butter while you whisk. The sauce should coat a spoon.

    Pro Recipe Tips & Tricks

Here are a few things to remember when you whip up this sweet sriracha sauce.

    • Double the recipe to use as a dipping sauce for a party.
    • Feel free to use any honey on hand or available in your area.
    • Add 2 teaspoons of soy sauce to add more umami flavor to the sauce.
    • Add 1-2 teaspoons of cayenne pepper or red chili flakes to bump up the heat.
    • You can swap hot honey instead of regular honey for a spicier sriracha sauce.
    • Feel free to add freshly minced garlic or garlic powder to jazz the sauce more to your liking.
    • If the spicy sauce is too hot, try adding a squeeze of lime juice, lemon juice, or a teaspoon of rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar to tame the heat.

Honey Sriracha has a spicy sweet, and garlic flavor, with a hint of spice from the Sriracha chili sauce.

It's possible to make numerous sauces using honey. Honey, when mixed with other ingredients, can produce sauces that have a distinct sweet taste.
