    Strawberry Mojito Ingredients

The key to the best strawberry mojitos is using the freshest ingredients. Let’s talk about the ingredients you’ll need to bring this sweet mojito recipe to life.

    White Rum

It’s essential to use white rum for mojitos and not dark spiced rum, as dark rum would be overpowering when paired with mint and lime’s light and delicate flavors. Make sure to use a quality white rum that you enjoy the taste of.

    Fresh Strawberries

If strawberries are in season, definitely opt for organic; they’re the freshest and juiciest ones that you can find. If they’re not in season or you simply can’t find any, you can use frozen strawberries in a pinch—just make sure to thaw them first.

    Lime Juice

Nothing compares to fresh lime juice in a mojito, so I highly recommend sticking to fresh limes. However, you can use store-bought lime juice if you don’t have another option.

    Mint Leaves

This is the star of any mojito recipe, so don’t leave it out! Fresh mint leaves are crucial to achieving the signature minty flavor of this cocktail.

    Granulated Sugar

It’s not a mojito without the sugar, so I use the best sugar on the market, Imperial Sugar. Imperial Sugar’s products include extra-fine granulated sugar, light and dark brown sugar, free-flowing sugar, powdered sugar, sugar shakers, white and brown sugar cubes, and Steviacane® (Stevia + sugar blend). Imperial Sugar products are 100% pure cane sugar, non-GMO, and provide consistently delicious results.

How to Make a Strawberry Mojito

If you’re looking for a summer cocktail that is both delicious and easy to make, this is the one. You only need a few minutes and a muddler to whip up this refreshing drink, and all you have to do is follow the easy steps listed below. Check out the recipe card at the bottom of this post for exact measurements!

    Step 1: Muddle the Ingredients

In each glass, use a muddler or a spoon to muddle the halved strawberries, mint leaves, and sugar until the mint and strawberries are broken up.

Step 2: Pour, Garnish, and Enjoy

Pour in the lime juice and white rum of choice. Then, fill each glass with ice, top off with club soda and garnish with mint sprigs and a halved strawberry. Drink up!

Strawberry Mojito Recipe Tips and Tricks

Here are some of my favorite tips on how to make the best strawberry mojitos:

    • For the best strawberry mojitos, you want to use the freshest strawberries. While you can use frozen strawberries if needed (thaw them first), I highly recommend buying fresh organic strawberries if they’re in season. The fresher, the better!
    • Not a fan of rum? Try switching up this strawberry lime mojito with a decent vodka or gin instead.
    • Want to make a kid-friendly version? You can easily make strawberry mocktails by leaving out the rum and adding more club soda instead.
    • You can switch up the flavor profile by swapping out the strawberries for another type of berry like blackberries or blueberries. Alternatively, try making a mixed berry mojito with a combination of your favorite berries.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Here are the answers to some of the most common questions about this strawberry mojito recipe:

    What’s in a strawberry mojito?

A strawberry mojito has all the ingredients of a classic Cuban mojito —white rum, lime juice, fresh mint, sugar, and club soda— and combines it with fresh strawberries for a delicious twist on the flavor. The strawberries work great with the mint and add a fun reddish tint to the cock

How to make mojitos for a crowd?

If you’re serving mojitos for a crowd, all you have to do is multiply the ingredients by the amount you need, keeping in mind that this recipe comfortably serves two. You can store your prepared mojitos in a large pitcher in the fridge, covering it with a lid or plastic wrap for a few hours before your event.

What tools do you need for mojitos?

The best tools to use for mojitos are muddlers and citrus juicers. While neither are absolutely necessary (you can use the back of a spoon to muddle and your hand to squeeze the limes), they certainly make the job much easier.

Especially if you’re serving mojitos for a large group, these cocktail tools can help you yield the best results in the shortest amount of time.
